Bike MS: FedEx Rock-N-Roll Ride Details - September 6 & 7, 2014

The Bike MS: FedEx Rock-N-Roll Ride is a 2-day cycling event that raises funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis in the Mid South Region and throughout the United States. Money raised through this event funds MS research, programs, services, and advocacy. This year, over 500 cyclists and volunteers will participate in the event raising over $300,000 to create a world free of MS.

Cyclists get their choice of a 42, 75, or 100-mile route option each day.

Your participation will aid in assisting support programs, services, and research that makes a huge difference to the people who must fight MS every day of their lives.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is dedicated to a vision of a world free of MS.

Friday night accommodations can be made in Southaven near Landers Center.  If you would like to make these arrangements please contact Danielle for further details and discount rates 

Meals: Cyclists will receive all meals free of charge during the weekend as long as they have their wristband designating they are riding.  Meal tickets for dinner at Gold Strike are available for purchase for guests at the event who are not riding or volunteering for $10 on site Saturday night

 Luggage
All cyclists may bring 1 piece of luggage and it will be transported for you down to Gold Strike Casino and back to Landers Center the second day.  VIBEs may bring 2 pieces of luggage.  All luggage must have the tag we provide attached to it so we can confirm it is your luggage at pick up.
 


  

 ROUTE INFO

This ride is for all cyclists, offering short and long routes on a variety of rolling hills and flats through the back roads of Mississippi. . All routes are fully supported with rest stops every 8-12 miles, support and gear vehicles (SAGS), medics, and bike mechanics.

On Saturday, cyclists may choose from a 42, 75 or 100-mile routes. On Sunday, cyclists may choose from 43 or 75 mile routes. View our Route Maps below:

Additional Route Information:

Cue Sheets
Printed cue sheets will be available in the Landers Center Ballroom at check-in during Bike MS weekend. These cue sheets will include an emergency number that you can call anytime during the ride to seek assistance.

*Please know that last minute route changes are sometimes necessary due to road closures and weather issues*  

Mechanics
If you find your bike needs some assistance during the ride, our participating bike shop mechanics will be at the start/finish and along the route.

Support and Gear Vehicles (SAG)
Special vehicles will be on the route to assist you. If you need help, pull off the road and give a thumbs down to the SAG vehicle and they will pick you up and move you forward to the next rest stop.
